American truck maker Capacity Trucks, a subsidiary of REV Group, introduced its lithium-ion-powered terminal truck at the ACT Expo in Anaheim, California.
The truck is designed for port, intermodal and distribution/warehouse use. It is equipped with a Hyster-Yale powertrain and either a 130 kWh or 260 kWh battery. It is expected to operate over a normal shift before requiring recharging.
Capacity’s hydrogen fuel cell electric terminal truck was introduced earlier in the year.
“Our focus over the last 10 years has been on developing advanced zero emissions products that answer the evolving needs of the industry,” said Capacity Trucks VP Wes Downing.
