Merchants Fleet debuts new service to manage EV charging infrastructure

US fleet-management company Merchants Fleet has introduced ClearCharge, a multifaceted service designed to assist commercial fleets in planning, developing and implementing EV charging infrastructure.

One variant of the program is ClearCharge Home, designed to simplify home charger installation and management and to provide tracked charging data and energy reimbursement reporting.

ClearCharge Work, available in three levels—Work, Plus and Pro—provides a customized infrastructure plan, on-site support, training of personnel and post-deployment management.

Coming soon is ClearCharge Public, a smartphone app to aid EV fleet drivers in locating chargers, authenticating payments and initiating charging.

Available in Q4 2023, ClearCharge DropStation is a portable power plant for remote charging.

“As inventory and charging infrastructure continues to improve, prior imposing barriers to electrification have started to recede, giving fleet managers an opportune moment to transform their fleet operations and make progress in their sustainability goals,” said Merchants Fleet VP Hari Nayar.
