EVBox Everon integrates with Payter to provide flexible EV charging payments

Amsterdam-based charging station provider EVBox has integrated the payment terminal system of Rotterdam-based Payter with its EVBox Everon charging software. The Payter terminals offer drivers contactless payment using credit or debit cards or smartphones. Third-party roaming authorizes accessible charging from any charging service provider’s network.

“To facilitate fast and easy charging payments, EVBox is enabling three payment options for its charging stations: a terminal allowing for contactless card payments, a third-party roaming payment solution, and ad-hoc charging,” said Markus Dehn, CTO of EVBox. Supported payment options include Visa, Mastercard, VPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Maestro.

After successful testing through an early adopter program, end-to-end integration of Payter terminals with EVBox Everon is now available for all EVBox Troniq Modular charging stations. The integration is in compliance with the latest version of Open Charge Point Protocol and is not reliant on firmware updates to enable new features or upgrades.
