EV charge point operator Be.EV and EV charging network Paua, both UK-headquartered, have signed a partnership that adds Be.EV’s more than 700 charge points to the Paua network.
The agreement increases access in the Greater Manchester area to 1,800 EV connectors, more than 1,000 of which are DC chargers with capacity of at least 50 kW.
Paua’s UK network includes 54,000 charge points at more than 17,000 locations managed by 35+ providers. Be.EV’s network, which is backed by 100% renewable energy from Octopus Energy, has national expansion plans that call for a total of 1,100 charge points to be installed by the end of 2025.
“Be.EV is demonstrating true leadership in ensuring that electric vehicle drivers are catered for across the country,” said Niall Riddell, Chief Executive and co-founder of Paua. “Starting in the North and with the backing of Octopus, extending across the UK ensures drivers get access to high-quality, well-priced, reliable and green electricity.”
