Be.EV secures £3.5-million EV charger deal with shopping center chain

UK EV charging network Be.EV has a £3.5-million agreement with a portfolio of retail shopping centers backed by US-based hedge fund Magnetar Capital and its operating partner, Northdale Advisors. Northdale is a UK-headquartered real estate and investment advisory and asset management company.

The agreement calls for the installation of 38 ultra-rapid (up to 150 kW) Kempower chargers at four locations: Corby Town Centre Shopping in Corby, North Northamptonshire; One Stop Shopping in Perry Barr, Birmingham; Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford, Kent and Yate Shopping Centre in Yate, South Gloucestershire.

“The rollout of Be.EV’s ultra-rapid chargers across our portfolio will provide a market-leading amenity for our visitors while also attracting new customers to our retailers,” said Tim Williams of Northdale Advisors.
