Daimler Buses has opened its 100th e-bus service center in Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia, under the Omniplus service brand, which specializes in the maintenance and repair of Mercedes-Benz eCitaro buses.
Of the total of 100 Omniplus e-bus service centers, 44 are in Germany and the rest are in Belgium, Denmark, France, the UK, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Hungary.
Each of the centers features an elevated platform for working on roof-mounted eCitaro components. A crane is used to transport batteries to a battery table for repair and overhaul.
“Our customers in Europe have traditionally benefited from a comprehensive and highly professional service network,” said Mirko Sgodda, Head of Marketing, Sales and Customer Services at Daimler Buses, “and we are continuing to drive forward the expansion of our service portfolio for electric vehicles.”
