FlexCharging launches EVision managed charging application

US-based managed charging provider FlexCharging has released its EVision grid-integration and demand-response software. The cloud-based application is designed to enable electric utilities to operate their own managed charging programs to maintain grid stability by encouraging off-peak charging and offering incentives to EV owners.

EVision software remotely turns on home charging during lower-demand, lower-rate periods, typically late at night, and ensures that the EV owners are credited with the incentives they earn.

“We are on a mission to democratize access to smart charging by making our charging technology available and affordable for smaller regional co-ops,” said FlexCharging CEO Brian Grunkemeyer.

The software is currently available to electric utilities in the US, Canada, Australia and parts of the EU.
