Eaton and Treehouse collaborate on home EV charging and energy management

Multinational power management company Eaton and San Francisco-based home EV charging provider Treehouse have partnered to accelerate the adoption of EV charging and electrification in US homes.

Under the agreement, Eaton will be the preferred supplier of technology, including its AbleEdge home energy management ecosystem and Green Motion EV chargers, for Treehouse residential installations that are designed to facilitate EV charging, energy storage, heat pumps and more, and powered by Eaton home energy management systems. The collaboration will enable installation programs at scale for automotive OEMs, utilities and hardware manufacturers.

Eaton and Treehouse will provide consumers with pricing and access to licensed electricians for installations. Treehouse will apply Eaton’s hardware options to specific installations and scope projects to ensure that the most efficient systems are deployed at scale. The Eaton Certified Contractor Network will have access to Treehouse’s end-to-end installation platform that supports scoping, design, permitting and installation for both retrofit and new projects.

“We’re confident this collaboration will streamline and expedite US electrification projects, driving consistency, reliability and sustainability—while saving time and money,” said Paul Ryan, General Manager of Connected Solutions and EV Charging at Eaton.
