California-headquartered DC Grid, a supplier of off-grid DC power systems, and Colorado-headquartered Liberty Energy, a provider of offshore oilfield services, have a memorandum of understanding to deliver integrated modular site-specific power systems tailored for such applications as commercial fleet EV hubs and data centers.
According to the companies, the inherent efficiency of the DC ecosystem and the modular design of the systems allow for accelerated deployment times of three months for fleet EV charging hubs.
Liberty will provide power system options through its Liberty Power Innovations (LPI) subsidiary that feed directly into DC Grid’s appliances, including EV chargers and data center power shelves. Liberty’s mobile power generation fuel options include methane gas and hydrogen.
“Our partnership with Liberty provides us with the opportunity to offer customers fast and reliable options for power. This is especially useful for data centers and fleet EV hubs that are in long queues for service upgrades from the local utilities,” said DC Grid founder and CEO Vic Shao.
