Even as Daimler Trucks deploys lobbyists and lawsuits to avoid selling electric trucks in the US, the company is celebrating the success of its Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 in Europe.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks began series production of the eActros 600 last November at its plant in Wörth, Germany. Deliveries began in December 2024, and the electric semi-tractor has now been delivered to customers in more than 15 European countries.
The eActros 600 sports three 207 kWh LFP battery packs, delivering a total capacity of 621 kWh, along with a new electric drive axle that Daimler developed in-house. It can achieve a range of 500 kilometers with a gross weight of 40 tons. By charging during statutory driver breaks, the e-truck can cover well over 1,000 kilometers per day, according to the company. With a standard semi-trailer, the eActros 600 can haul a payload of around 22 tons in the EU.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks engineers designed the eActros 600 to meet the same durability requirements as the legacy Actros. It’s designed to run for up to 1.2 million kilometers in ten years of operation, after which the battery state of health should still be above 80 percent.
Some notable customer deployments:
